Speechless – Top Billing, July 2009
For someone who can talk alot, put a microphone and camera in front of me and …pure silence!
So after my utterly speechless nerve racking experience being interviewed by delicious Aidan Bennet and his Top Billing team for their Decorex feature – I am much happier to see a little write up about REcreate in this months Top Billing magazine – The Eco Issue!
Happiness is page 17 in Conde Nast – House & Garden, July 2009
‘The Heart Chair’ makes her debut in Conde Nast House & Garden.
Such an admired happy little heart chair, with fans from Cape Town to Thabazimbi to America! I am considering REcreating my REcreation. Using old recycled wood of course!
The You. Who me? Yes you!
Going going … Sold! We don’t like to talk about it much, as it is rather a sad little story about a beautiful Heart Chair that was infact the very 1st item REcreate ever manufactured.
You Magazine chose it as one of their top 10 Decorex products.
Should you like this Heart Chair as much as I and the You Magazine do, have a look under my ‘product page’ as I have REvived another old broken dining chair using white perspex… The sequel to The Heart Chair – Queen of Diamonds!
This month: Lighting in production. Next month: Lighting up your home?
I have been busy, busy, busy with new products and new ideas and can hardly keep up with all the interest! (Thank you!)
From concept to design and finally production, here are a few products I have been working on this month…
If you can imagine one of these lights in your home, it could be yours!
Mannequin – light:
Her days of modelling and fitting for a high-end store had long passed, she was found sad and forgotten buried amongst piles of old stock…this mannequin could soon be spotted lighting up your room and one must ask has her life only just begun?…
This redundant bird cage stopped singing long ago, what was left to rust in damp and dust, will soon be grand in glistening splendour. ..
Turning the wire bird cage into a glamorous chandelier creates playful juxtapositions and can be seen as the next step from the already existing birdcage lights hanging over raw light bulbs.
Teacups…soon to be lamps:
That’s all for now under lighting…
Your feedback is much appreciated and I look forward to your comments.
Super exciting and busy times ahead…
Die Burger – Leefstyl
Die Rommel Koningin’… That would be me!
After this article from Die Burger, 13 May 09, had been translated to me word for word, I discover that I am in fact ‘Die Rommel Koningin’!
I am still trying to decide whether I should be flattered or not?!!
